Aji has been involved in the oil and gas business sector for decades. He is a legal expert with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law at th Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia and also holds a Master’s degree in Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada and he also holds a Special Leadership certification from INSEAD Singapore.

He has experienced working in the Pertamina Group, joined from 1991 to 2019 and has held various positions, including: Head of Corporate Legal PT Pertamina (Persero), Vice President (VP) Legal & Relation PT Pertamina EP, VP Relation PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, Chief Legal Counsel & Complience PT Pertamina (Persero), Commissioner of PT Pertamina Dana Ventura (2005 - 2010), President Commissioner of PT Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia (2018 - 2019), and lastyly as President Commissioner of PT Pelita Air Service.

Throughout his career at Pertamina Group, he has led various legal teams of more than 200 professionals as the Chief Legal Counsel & Complience of Pertamina and played substantial role in business deals and transactions related to M&A, sale and purchase of LPG, LNG and Crude Oil, and also handling cases involving dispute resolution, arbitration, antitrust and competition.
